Hometown Journey part 2

Continue my previous post about hometown journey, in this post I am going to share about my travel in West Kalimantan Museum.

West Kalimantan Museum is located on A.Yani I Street, Pontianak. You can using some transportation to go there, such as car, motorcycle, or public transportation.
As its name, the museum holds a variety of historically valuable objects that exist in the province of West Kalimantan. The museum was built in 1975 and stood on the land area of ​​± 3905 m2, while the total land area of ​​± 28.167 m2. But this building functioned as a museum on October 4, 1983 and officially opened on 2 April 1988 following an improvement in the architecture of the building blend of modern and traditional styles.
If you would like to visit this museum, come on Tuesday-Thursday from 08:00 AM to 16:00 PM on Friday or a week from 8:00 AM to 15:00 PM. For Monday and other national holidays, this museum is closed.

This museum has many collections, which are Ethnography, History, Technology, Philology, Prehistory, and some miniature that related to the history and culture of West Kalimantan.
